(Baonghean.vn) - It is forecasted that from October 31 to November 2, under the influence of the weakened low pressure circulation from storm No. 5, the North Central region will have moderate to heavy rain, while the South will have very heavy rain and thunderstorms.

According to news from the North Central Hydrometeorological Station, at 10:00 on October 30, the center of the storm is located at about 13.2 degrees North latitude; 111.3 degrees East longitude, about 200km east of the mainland of Binh Dinh-Khanh Hoa provinces. The strongest wind near the center of the storm is level 9 (75-90km/hour),level 11. Strong wind radius from level 6,jerk from level 8up to about 130km from the center of the storm.

At 10:00 p.m. on October 30, the center of the storm was located at about 13.6 degrees North latitude; 109.2 degrees East longitude, on the mainland along the coast of the provinces from Quang Ngai to Khanh Hoa. The strongest wind near the center of the storm is level 9 (75-90km/hour),level 11-12.

Forecast for the next 12 to 24 hours,The storm moved mainly in a westerly direction, traveling 15-20km per hour, entering the mainland provinces from Quang Ngai to Khanh Hoa and weakening into a tropical depression, then a low pressure area. At 10:00 on October 31, the center of the low pressure area was at about 13.8 degrees North latitude; 106.5 degrees East longitude, in the eastern region of Cambodia.

Dangerous areas in the East Sea in the next 24 hours (strong winds from level 6,jerk from level 8and above): North of latitude 11.0 degrees North.

From October 30, due to the influence of the northern edge of the circulation of storm No. 5, the sea area of ​​the North Central provinces will have strong winds of level 6 - level 7, gusting to level 8; rough seas.

From October 31 to November 2, under the influence of the weakened low pressure circulation from storm No. 5 combined with the strengthening of the continental cold high pressure tongue, the subtropical high pressure tends to strengthen and encroach to the West, so the North Central region will have moderate to heavy rain, especially in the South, there will be very heavy rain and thunderstorms. Total rainfall in Thanh Hoa and Northern Nghe An is commonly 50 - 100mm/period; in Southern Nghe An and Ha Tinh, it is commonly 150 - 250mm/period, especially in Ha Tinh, some places have over 300mm.

Thunderstorms may produce tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind. Heavy rain in a short period of time requires caution against flash floods, landslides and flooding of low-lying areas.
