On the morning of March 15, the Political School held a conference to coordinate training and development in 2018. Attending the conference were comrades Nguyen Huu Lam - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee; members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee: Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee; Nguyen Thi Hong Hoa - Principal of the Provincial Political School.

In 2017, the Provincial Political School proactively coordinated with the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee, the Department of Home Affairs and other departments, branches, unions, district, city and town Party committees to open classes to ensure the plan and carry out scientific and stricter enrollment.
Accordingly, in 2017, the School exceeded the targets and training and development plans assigned by the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee, including 87 classes with 6,230 students (10 more classes than in 2016), including 64 training classes and 23 development classes.
To improve the quality and effectiveness of training, the school focuses on innovating teaching methods. Along with that, the school has coordinated with units implementing student management to take many active measures to rectify training management with specific solutions, ensuring seriousness and discipline.

At the conference, representatives of the Center for Political Training, leaders of districts, cities and towns discussed and shared experiences to propose solutions in coordinating to improve training and fostering of cadres.
Speaking at the conference, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board Nguyen Huu Lam affirmed that training and fostering is an important task in personnel work and Party building.
The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board said that in order to achieve the goal by 2020, the whole province will have 80% of commune-level cadres and civil servants with intermediate political theory qualifications or higher, according to the target set by the Resolution of the 18th Provincial Party Congress. That requires strengthening the coordination of departments, branches, sectors, units, localities together with the Political School to do better in training and fostering in 2018.
Emphasizing that in 2018, continue to implement the mid-term assessment of the implementation of the Resolution of the 5th Provincial Party Congress; implement Resolution 26 of the Politburo on the direction and tasks of developing Nghe An province until 2020, associated with the implementation of Resolution 6 (term XII) setting out tasks for training cadres with new requirements and tasks.
Therefore, the policy of the Central and the province will continue to tighten and strengthen discipline in political training and education for cadres to overcome limitations and avoid formal political theory learning.
Comrade Nguyen Huu Lam suggested that the Provincial Political School should continue to focus on innovation and improving the quality of teaching staff; regulations and mechanisms for strict and serious management of students; strengthen inspection and supervision; and continue to effectively implement the project to upgrade the Provincial Political School.
For the Organizing Committee, the Department of Home Affairs, with the function of advising the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee on training and fostering cadres, needs to review, develop and implement effective coordination regulations.
Localities need to continue to thoroughly grasp the Provincial Party Committee's directives and plans on compulsory political theory study; strengthen coordination with the Political School to effectively carry out political training and fostering for grassroots cadres.
