Currently, the search and rescue team at the scene is continuing to speed up the search for the remaining 7 missing crew members of the NA 95899 TS ship according to the search area established under the on-scene command of SAR 273.
Mr. Bui Xuan Phuc - Vice Chairman of Tien Thuy Commune People's Committee (Quynh Luu) said: After receiving information that the bodies of 2 missing Nghe An sailors on Bach Long Vy Island were brought to Cua Lo port, this morning (July 18), relatives of the 9 missing sailors got in the car to Nghe An General Hospital to take DNA samples and identify their relatives.
According to medical experts, to get accurate DNA test results, doctors must take samples from the deceased's body and from relatives (father, mother and child). The waiting time for DNA test results is about 4 days and may be longer.
In addition to DNA testing, identifying relatives through clothing and personal belongings can also help identify the correct person.
