Russian State Duma assesses possibility of NATO increasing military presence in Black Sea
First Deputy Chairman of the Russian Duma Defense Committee Alexander Sherin commented to RT on NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg's statement that the alliance is studying the possibility of increasing its presence in the Black Sea.

"From the point of view of NATO's interests, this is clearly correct. But for Russia such statements are a complete violation of international law," he asserted.
According to him, NATO still intends to provide Ukraine with technical equipment, resources, means and even instructors.
“And here, the Black Sea is just a great outlet. Today, they are trying to send more and more new warships, regularly and systematically. Russia needs to take proactive preventive measures and increase its military presence more and more regularly in this region,” Sherin said.
