Stopped for quarantine, truck carrying ducks suddenly caught fire on National Highway 1A
(Baonghean.vn) - While stopping for quarantine at the Bac Nghe An Animal Quarantine Station on National Highway 1A, a truck carrying tens of thousands of poultry suddenly caught fire.
At 9:10 p.m. on March 18, Command Center 114, Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (PCCC&CNCH) received a report of a fire in a car carrying poultry in Quynh Thien ward (Hoang Mai town).

The owner of the car, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, was on his way to distribute breeding animals to facilities in Vinh City and Ha Tinh Province. When he stopped to conduct quarantine at the Bac Nghe An Animal Quarantine Station, the car suddenly caught fire. The fire started at the fan behind the cargo box.
Upon receiving the news, the fire fighting force was promptly dispatched to the scene to deploy fire fighting measures; assist the vehicle owner in moving assets, goods and more than 30,000 poultry (chickens, ducks, geese, etc.) in the back of the vehicle out of the fire area. After only a few minutes, the fire was quickly extinguished.

The initial cause of the fire was determined to be an electrical short circuit in the rear ventilation fan of the truck.
