According to the investigation results, in early 2020, Cuong's group was provided with a betting account on a website by a person named Duy to organize gambling. They then split the large account into secondary accounts and provided them to Thanh and Thang. Cuong and Nga were given the master account.

Police determined that this group had organized gambling and gambled with a total amount of more than 400 billion VND. A quick search at the scene found 920 million VND, 17 mobile phones, 9 swords, 10 boxes of ammunition and a sports gun.
