The road to the resettlement area of Ban Ve Hydropower Plant turns into a pond after the rain.
(Baonghean.vn) -Route fromThanh Chuong district center to Ban Ve Hydropower resettlement areaseriously degraded. SAfter the rain, the road had many stagnant pools of water.
This is the route from the district center to the resettlement area of Thanh Son commune, about 20 km long, the main traffic axis of the communes on the right bank of Thanh Chuong. Implementing the investment program for the resettlement area, this route has been completely upgraded, about 13 km from Thanh Chuong town to Cho Chua intersection.
There is still a section of about 7 km from Cho Chua intersection (Thanh Lien commune) to Hanh Lam intersection connecting to Ho Chi Minh road that has not been upgraded.

Because it is a single road, there is a large amount of traffic every day, combined with a large number of cars carrying glue, cassava, and buses traveling, so this road has been severely damaged. People often call this "the arduous road" because it is dusty, has many "potholes" when it is sunny, and turns into "ponds" when it rains.
A leader of Thanh My commune shared: With a traffic system like this, it is difficult to develop an economic model and trading services in the center of the commune cluster.

Not only does it affect the lives and economic and social development of the localities through which the road passes, but this route also directly affects the operations of Prison No. 6 (Ministry of Public Security) located in Hanh Lam commune. Especially at the resettlement area for people of Ban Ve hydropower plant (TDC) in Thanh Son commune, vehicles carrying essential goods, food, salt and rice for the people cannot enter, making the already difficult life of the newly resettled people even more difficult.
To partly solve the difficulties for the people, Thanh Chuong district has invested many times in upgrading and repairing, but due to limited funding, these efforts are just like "a drop in the ocean", basically not solving the situation.

It is known that the State has a policy to invest in upgrading this route, the functional sectors and Thanh Chuong district have also completed the documents but up to this point, the capital source for construction has not been arranged.
Just one early summer shower has turned the road into a "pond", tens of thousands of resettled people and people from communes in the area are living in constant anxiety day and night, especially as the storm season is coming.
