Brother-in-law shot sister-in-law

Due to a family conflict, Nguyen Van Hung pulled out a gun and shot his sister-in-law in the arm at a goat hotpot restaurant on Ly Thai To Street, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City.

On February 21, District 10 police (HCMC) said they were detaining suspect Nguyen Van Hung (nicknamed Ty Chuot, born in 1965, residing in Ward 9, District 10) to investigate the act of illegally storing and using weapons.

Accordingly, at around 8:00 p.m. last night, February 20, a special criminal patrol team from the Department of Investigation of Crimes on Social Order (PC45) of Ho Chi Minh City Police patrolled in District 10.

During the patrol, the patrol team heard gunshots at a goat hotpot restaurant on Ly Thai To street.

Seeing something unusual, detectives raided the restaurant to check and control, escorting Hung, who was said to have used a gun to shoot the woman in the hand, to the police station in Ward 10, District 10. The woman was taken to the emergency room by relatives.

The victim was identified as Nguyen Thi Le H. (born in 1963, residing in Ward 1, District 3). Initially, the authorities seized a pistol, 5 bullets, and a switchblade from Hung. Hung confessed that Ms. H. was his sister-in-law.

Currently, District 10 Police continue to investigate and clarify.
