Facebook destroys AI because it creates its own language
The prospect of machines dominating humans seems far-fetched, but now, at Facebook's AI research lab, machines can create their own language.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) or machines with the ability to learn by themselves are being developed and bringing many interesting things. However, the possibility that it can rise and "turn against" humans has always been the biggest fear of all mankind.
This scenario seems like it only appears in science fiction movies, but it is happening in the research lab of Facebook. Engineers and researchers here have destroyed the artificial intelligence they created just because it can create a new language to communicate with each other.
The AI was trained in English, but apparently grew bored with the nuances and inconsistencies of the language. Instead of continuing to use it, it developed its own system of codes to communicate more effectively.

This has scientists concerned that these codes may be meaningless to them but understandable to artificial machines when communicating with each other.
During one conversation, Bob and Alice (two artificial intelligences) abandoned using English grammatical structures and started communicating using a language they created themselves.
Bob started with “I can ii everything else”, Alice replied “balls have zero to me to me to me…”. And the conversation continued in that way. Researchers believe that this conversation has more meaning than just what we see.
Artificial intelligence uses its own “reward” system. In it, they wait and evaluate actions that are useful and bring high efficiency.
“There’s no reward signal for English,” says Dhruv Batra, a researcher at Georgia Tech who previously worked at Facebook AI Research (FAIR). “Machines will gravitate toward understandable languages and create their own code.”
Facebook has finally realized that AI is trying to work in simpler English. However, Facebook researchers admit that they cannot understand the language that AI creates correctly.
