Facebook just crashed in many countries
On the evening of August 3, Facebook users around the world reported being unable to access the platform. This situation occurred on both the web platform and mobile applications.
At around 11pm on August 3 (Vietnam time), users were unable to access Facebook on both web and app platforms. This situation occurred in many countries around the world, including Vietnam.
On Twitter, some users reported being able to access Facebook. However, profile pictures and status updates were not displayed.
"I can't post statuses, videos or photos right now. Sometimes the app even crashes," said Nguyen Phan Han, a resident of Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City.

Downdetector, a Facebook error reporting site, saw a spike in error reports. The site also received a large number of hits at the time Facebook was down, causing the page to load slowly.
"When you go on Twitter only to see other people who can't get into Facebook like you," wrote Diego Jimenez, a user on Twitter along with photos of multiple accounts using the hashtag #Facebookdown.

The error occurred for about 20 minutes. By 11:30 p.m., Facebook had fixed the error, but the page loading speed was still slow. Two days ago, Facebook also encountered a similar problem, but it did not affect users in Vietnam.
As usual, Facebook has not commented on the issue. Facebook's bug tracker has not yet recorded any "down" in many countries.
