Mr. Nguyen Duc Thanh, Tan Thang commune said: Previously, we also intensively cultivated gac trees to provide raw materials for the vegetable and fruit processing factory, however, due to lack of initiative in the seedling, the percentage of sown seeds was 70% male, leading to losses.
After applying the new technique of intensively cultivating gac trees by grafting young branches onto the mother tree, 100% of the gac tree roots flowered and bore fruit, each generation of mother tree roots bore fruit within 10 to 20 years.

After testing 20 hectares of black hybrid gac in Tan Thang commune, Quynh Luu district, it was shown that this gac variety grows well, produces many fruits, has large fruit weight and especially completely eliminates male gac trees.
On average, for every hectare of black hybrid gac, people need to spend 80 million VND to build a trellis, install a drip irrigation system, seeds, and fertilizers, and can harvest for 10 to 15 years without having to replant.
"According to our calculations, after 1 year of growing the first crop of gac, people will recover their capital and from the second year, each hectare of gac will yield a profit of 70 million VND" - Engineer Nguyen Dinh Thi - Head of the project to propagate black hybrid gac by cutting young branches confirmed.
