Nearly 100% of people over 18 years old in Nghe An have received the basic Covid-19 vaccinations.

On December 31, Mr. Tran Minh Tue - Deputy Director of Nghe An Department of Health said that up to now, the whole province has had more than 1.93 million people over 18 years old vaccinated with basic doses of Covid-19, reaching a rate of 98.6% compared to people over 18 years old and a rate of 58% compared to the total population.

Meanwhile, the number of people vaccinated with at least one dose is more than 1.95 million people, reaching 99.7% of people aged 18 and over and 59% of the total population of the province.

Not to mention, in the area, nearly 270,000 children aged 12-17 have received at least 1 dose of vaccine, of which more than 111,000 have received the full basic dose. In addition, Nghe An has also given the 3rd dose to more than 220,000 people. According to statistics from the Ministry of Health, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Nghe An are the 3 localities leading in the number of 3rd doses.

Updates on the Covid-19 vaccination portal as of 10am on December 31 show that the country has administered nearly 151 million doses of various types of Covid-19 vaccines. On December 30, the country administered more than 1.6 million doses.

The national vaccination coverage rate of at least one dose is currently 99.4% and the rate of full vaccination of two doses is 89.9% of the population aged 18 and over. By region, these rates are 96.1% and 86.8% in the North; 96.8% and 88.2% in the Central region; 96.8% and 82.6% in the Central Highlands; and 100% and 92.6% in the South.
