Nearly 200 Tan Ky elderly people received free eye exams
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 22, Tan Ky District Medical Center examined, consulted and provided free medicine for eye diseases to nearly 200 elderly people in Nghia Thai commune.

Here, the elderly are examined by doctors and nurses of Tan Ky District Medical Center, consulted on prevention, treatment and given free medicine for eye diseases. For serious cases, they will be advised on treatment methods or cataract surgery.
After the examination, the doctors discovered 20 people had cataracts and many had other eye diseases. After the initial screening, the District Health Center will conduct another screening before deciding to perform free eye surgery for the patients.
The free eye examination and medicine program creates conditions for the elderly in difficult circumstances to receive timely eye examination, consultation and treatment.
