Nearly 56 thousand voters of Thanh Chuong district participated in collecting opinions on the Project on rearranging commune-level administrative units for the period 2023 - 2025.
(Baonghean.vn) - Thanh Chuong district organized 84 polling stations in 16 communes and towns to implement the merger, with a total of nearly 56,000 voters whose voter lists were finalized to get opinions on the Project on arranging commune-level administrative units, period 2023 - 2025 in the district.

On the morning of May 5, Thanh Chuong district organized a poll to collect voters' opinions on the Project on rearranging commune-level administrative units for the 2023-2025 period in the district at the voting areas of 16 communes to be merged.
At the voting area of block 1A, Thanh Chuong town, the total number of voters whose list was finalized for voting was 616 people. By 10:00 a.m., 605/616 voters participated in the vote; of which, 597/616 voters (96.92%) agreed to the plan to merge Thanh Linh and Thanh Dong communes and Thanh Chuong town to expand and establish Dung town.

At the Xuan Tuong hamlet polling station (Xuan Tuong commune), the total list was finalized to collect opinions of 622 voters. As of 10:00 a.m., 100% of voters participated in the vote; of which, 617/622 voters (99.20%) agreed to the plan to merge Xuan Tuong and Thanh Duong communes into Xuan Duong commune.

At the Duong Tam hamlet (Thanh Duong commune) polling area, the total list of voters finalized for polling was 883. By 10:45 a.m., the unit had completed the polling with 100% of voters participating in the vote; of which, 852/883 voters (96.49%) agreed to the plan to merge Thanh Duong and Xuan Tuong communes into Xuan Duong commune.
As a result, many communes have completed the consultation this morning. For example, Thanh Duong commune has 6 areas for consultation, with a total list of 4,863 voters. As a result, 100% of voters participated in the vote; of which, 4,794/4,863 voters (98.58%) agreed to the plan to merge Thanh Duong and Xuan Tuong communes into Xuan Duong commune.

Thanh Chuong district has 16 communes subject to merger in the 2023 - 2025 period, simultaneously organizing to collect voters' opinions on the Project on rearranging administrative units in the area this morning in 84 areas, with a total of nearly 56,000 voters.

According to the Project on rearranging commune-level administrative units in the period of 2023 - 2025, Thanh Chuong district has 16 commune-level administrative units to be rearranged, forming 7 new units, reducing 9 communes after rearrangement.
Specifically, merge the entire natural area and population of Thanh Linh commune, Thanh Dong commune and Thanh Chuong town into Dung town.
Merge the entire natural area and population of Thanh Hoa and Thanh Nho communes into Minh Son commune.
Merge the entire natural area and population of Thanh Chi commune and Thanh Khe commune into Thanh Qua commune.

Merge the entire natural area and population of Thanh Long commune and Vo Liet commune into Kim Bang commune.
Merge the entire natural area and population size of Xuan Tuong commune and Thanh Duong commune into Xuan Duong commune.
Merge the entire natural area and population of Thanh Luong, Thanh Yen and Thanh Khai communes into Minh Tien commune.
Merge the entire natural area and population of Thanh Giang commune and Thanh Mai commune into Mai Giang commune.

As a result of the reorganization, Thanh Chuong district reduced 9 commune-level administrative units; from 38 units to 29 units (towns and 28 communes). Including: Dung town and the communes: Cat Van, Phong Thinh, Thanh Duc, Hanh Lam, Thanh My, Thanh Lien, Thanh Tien, Thanh Thinh, Thanh Huong, Thanh An, Thanh Thuy, Thanh Ha, Thanh Tung, Thanh Xuan, Thanh Lam, Thanh Phong, Thanh Ngoc, Ngoc Son, Ngoc Lam, Thanh Son, Dai Dong, Dong Van, Minh Son, Thanh Qua, Kim Bang, Xuan Duong, Minh Tien and Mai Giang.
Also this morning, in Yen Thanh district, 14 communes and towns that will be merged also conducted a survey of voters' opinions on the Project on rearranging administrative units at district and commune levels for the period 2023 - 2025 at 108 survey areas.
