Nearly 600 electric cars and jet skis are ready to serve tourists in the coastal town of Cua Lo.

In recent years, electric cars have been the most popular means of transporting tourists in Cua Lo Town. This is a model of car that operates without making noise and is environmentally friendly. Before the opening of the tourist season, Cua Lo Town has directed units and localities to review and inspect all electric cars in the area to serve tourists.

Accordingly, all electric vehicles must strictly comply with the regulations including: Meeting the safety conditions for operation as prescribed in Article 53 of the Road Traffic Law; Having an operating license issued by the Town People's Committee and having the frame number engraved and the license plate attached by the Town Police; Posting the fare, license plate, vehicle owner's phone number, and the town's hotline number on the vehicle's body. Only vehicles with up to 6 seats (including the driver) with 3 rows of seats are allowed to be used.

For electric vehicle drivers, they must have a B2 or higher vehicle license, a business registration certificate, a commitment, and when carrying passengers, they must wear a name tag and uniform according to the town's regulations. All electric cars have public prices and we pledge not to solicit, compete for customers, or cause disorder when transporting passengers in the area."

Mr. Hoang Minh Tho - Deputy Head of the Urban Management Department of Cua Lo Town said: "The town has established an inspection team for vehicles as well as electric car drivers, requiring strict implementation of regulations with the highest goal of ensuring safety, serving well the travel needs of tourists when coming to Cua Lo. If any electric car does not ensure quality or the driver does not strictly comply with regulations, has a bad service attitude, there will be a hotline to report, the town will proceed to verify and handle according to regulations".

Jet skis are also one of the recreational vehicles chosen by many tourists. According to statistics, the whole town currently has 10 jet skis managed by 3 units. To ensure order and safety of inland waterways serving tourism and festivals in the area, on April 6, the Town People's Committee coordinated with the Department of Transport Inspectorate to check the paperwork procedures for businesses operating jet skis in the town to serve tourism.

The management and operation of jet skis in Cua Lo town are clearly regulated in Decision No. 22/2019 dated June 4, 2019 of the People's Committee of Nghe An province. Accordingly, the operating time of electric motorbikes in summer: from 6:00 to 18:30; Winter: from 7:00 to 17:00. Absolutely do not operate the vehicle when there is a warning from the authorities. The area of ​​​​the wharf to pick up and drop off passengers and the anchor buoy and flag must comply with specific regulations.

In particular, the operating area of ​​jet skis is from Lan Chau Island to Vinh - Cua Lo Boulevard; The width from the water's edge of the coast to the outer limit of the maximum operating area is 650m and to the inner limit of the minimum operating area is 100m. Jet skis are prohibited from operating in areas with waterways, regular ship routes, and tourist bathing areas.
