Encountering a storm at night, 4 Nghe An fishermen luckily escaped death after drifting at sea for many hours
During a stormy night, 3 fishing boats belonging to Hai Loc commune (Nghe An) had consecutive accidents, causing 4 fishermen to face danger. However, thanks to their bravery, luck and the help of other ships, all were brought safely to shore.
At around 8:20 p.m. on July 19, a sudden storm occurred in the coastal area of Hai Loc commune and Cua Lo ward (Nghe An), causing many fishermen's rafts and boats to be in trouble.
Specifically, the raft of Mr. Dau Van Thuan (born in 1976) carrying Mr. Cao Van Dung (born in 1979), both residing in Bac Son hamlet, Hai Loc commune, capsized about 2 km from the coast of Hai Loc commune (formerly Nghi Yen commune, Nghi Loc district).
After drifting at sea for many hours, at around 0:20 on July 20, Mr. Thuan and Mr. Dung were fortunately rescued by Mr. Ngo Van Thai's vehicle from Hai Loc commune and brought safely to shore.

At the same time, the sampan of Mr. Nguyen Van Trung (born in 1972), Hai Thinh hamlet, Hai Loc commune (formerly Nghi Thiet commune, Nghi Loc district) sank about 1 km from shore. Afterwards, Mr. Trung swam to pier No. 6 of Vissai International Port and was discovered and rescued by the forces.
Meanwhile, the raft of Mr. Hoang Trong Dong (born in 1980), Bac Son hamlet, Hai Loc commune, also had a broken engine about 3 km from the coast of Hai Loc commune. After drifting at sea until 1:00 a.m. on July 20, the raft of the fishermen was towed to shore safely by a fishing boat from An Chau commune (formerly Dien Trung commune, Dien Chau district).
The above accidents caused property damage to fishermen of nearly 200 million VND.
Upon receiving the information, the Border Guard Station of Cua Lo - Ben Thuy Port sent working groups to encourage and support the families of the fishermen in distress.
