Gas price increased by 28,000 VND per 12kg cylinder

From the 5th day of Tet (February 1, 2017), each 12 kg retail gas cylinder to consumers in Ho Chi Minh City will have a common price of about 340,000 VND, an increase of 28,000 VND per cylinder compared to last month.

Specifically, users will have to pay an additional VND2,333 per kg of gas compared to January 2017, including value added tax (VAT). This is the second consecutive month that gas prices have increased. The reason for the price increase, as explained by distributors, is that the world's suppliers announced the fuel price of USD555 per ton, an increase of USD90 per ton compared to the previous month.
