Domestic coffee prices today
Domestic coffee prices today, August 26, 2025, in the Central Highlands region decreased sharply compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 121,500 - 122,000 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in the old Dak Nong region are purchasing coffee at the highest price of 122,000 VND/kg, a sharp decrease of 2,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Similarly, coffee price in Dak Lak province is 122,000 VND/kg, down 2,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province decreased by VND2,000/kg compared to yesterday and were traded at VND121,800/kg.
In Lam Dong province, coffee prices decreased by VND2,000/kg compared to yesterday and are at VND121,500/kg.

Domestic coffee prices have fallen sharply by VND2,000/kg as speculators take profits after a sharp increase in the past two weeks. However, coffee consumption demand remains stable thanks to product diversity and price segments, helping to keep prices high.
Concerns that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) may keep interest rates higher for longer than expected have caused investment capital to withdraw from agricultural commodities, including coffee. This has put more pressure on coffee prices and made the market more cautious.
The recent slight decrease in the USD/VND exchange rate has narrowed export profits, reducing the incentive for businesses to purchase. In addition, rising costs have also made international roasters and traders more cautious with new orders.
The Vietnamese coffee industry is entering a crucial period to finalize orders for the third quarter of 2025. Strong fluctuations in coffee prices at this time will directly affect the spot market and upcoming futures contracts. Meanwhile, the coffee harvest is expected to begin in about 2 months and supply will be abundant in 3 months thanks to favorable weather conditions.
World coffee prices today
On the London Stock Exchange, the online price of Robusta coffee futures for September 2025 delivery closed at $4,866/ton, up 2.27% ($108/ton) from yesterday. The November 2025 futures contract increased 2.88% ($130/ton), reaching $4,650/ton.
Meanwhile, on the New York Stock Exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for delivery in September 2025 increased by 0.40% (1.55 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, to 392.20 US cents/pound, the highest level in 3.5 months. The contract for delivery in December 2025 increased by 1.76% (6.65 US cents/pound), reaching 384.95 US cents/pound.
Brazil remains the focus of global coffee markets. Harvesting is over and warm weather is forecast for the next two weeks. Speculators are focusing on long-term price forecasts for the rainy season later this year, which will determine the next crop in 2026.
Technically, experts from Giacaphe.com predict that if there are no unexpected changes in tax policy, the price of Arabica coffee futures for December delivery may soon reach 420 cents/pound. Meanwhile, the price of Robusta coffee for November delivery is also aiming to re-establish the peak of over 5,000 USD/ton, if it surpasses the threshold of 4,800 USD/ton.
Importers are looking for alternative supplies from Central America and Colombia due to the impact of tariffs, leading to large price differentials compared to ICE contracts, creating opportunities for hedge funds to step up buying.
However, Brazilian coffee is seeing a sharp increase in demand in Europe and Asia, exceeding expectations. According to Mr. Ferreira, much of this growth is not coming from actual consumption in the region but mainly from countries like Germany, which acts as a hub for re-exporting processed coffee to the United States, which imposes more favorable tariffs on goods from Europe.
