Domestic coffee prices remain high
Coffee prices today (June 24) in the domestic market increased by 300 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently fluctuating from 65,800 - 66,500 VND/kg, continuing to maintain a high level.
Specifically, the price of green coffee beans (coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) in Lam Dong province in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, Lam Ha, coffee is purchased at a price of 65,700 - 65,800 VND/kg.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces stood at 66,000 VND/kg.
Today's coffee price in Dak Lak province in Cu M'gar district is currently at 66,200 VND/kg. In Ea H'leo district, Buon Ho town, it is purchased at the same price of 66,300 VND/kg.

For world coffee prices on the two floors today are opposite.
At the end of the latest trading session, Robusta coffee prices on the London floor reversed to increase. The July spot futures increased by 33 USD to 2,792 USD/ton and the September futures increased by 23 USD to 2,749 USD/ton, both very significant increases. Trading volume was quite high above average.
In contrast, Arabica coffee prices on the New York floor continued to decline. September spot futures fell another 2.00 cents to 170.25 cents/lb and December futures fell another 2.15 cents to 169.05 cents/lb, both significant declines. Trading volume remained very high above average.
On the sidelines, the first Son La Coffee Festival in 2023 is expected to be held in October 2023 at the provincial level. After more than 30 years of coffee development, Son La is now the locality with the largest coffee area in the North, with about 17,000 hectares, producing about 30,000 tons of coffee beans/year.
Currently, Son La coffee has been exported to nearly 20 countries (Japan, the US, Middle Eastern countries and European countries) and is one of the main export products in Son La province.

Accordingly, in the Central Highlands region, pepper prices fluctuate around 69,000 - 70,000 VND/kg. Specifically, in Gia Lai, the price of Chu Se pepper (Gia Lai) on June 24 was being purchased by traders at 69,000 VND/kg, down 500 VND/kg.

Similarly, in the Southeast region, pepper prices today also decreased by 500 VND/kg in Binh Phuoc. Accordingly, pepper prices today in Binh Phuoc are being purchased by traders at 71,000 VND/kg, down 500 VND/kg.
Particularly in Dong Nai and Ba Ria Vung Tau provinces, pepper prices remained stable at 70,500 VND/kg and 72,000 VND/kg.
Thus, pepper prices continued to decline today. This is the third consecutive decrease in the past week. After three adjustment sessions, domestic pepper prices have decreased by VND 1,500/kg compared to the beginning of the week. According to records, the export slowdown has caused the market to decline. Vietnam's main pepper import markets since the beginning of the year are reducing their purchases.
In the world market, at the end of yesterday's trading session, the International Pepper Community (IPC) listed an increase in prices for Indonesian pepper. Accordingly, the price of Lampung black pepper (Indonesia) closed at 3,755 USD/ton, up 0.43%; The price of Muntok white pepper was 6,201 USD/ton, up 0.44%.
Export rice price increased by 5 USD/ton, traders bought a lot
Rice prices today (June 24) in the Mekong Delta increased slightly with rice. In the export market, the export price of rice increased by 5 USD/ton.
Specifically, at An Giang warehouse, OM 18 rice is purchased by traders at 6,800 VND/kg. OM 5451 rice is priced at 6,300 - 6,500 VND/kg. IR 50404 rice is priced at 6,200 - 6,400 VND/kg. Nang Hoa 9 rice is purchased by traders at 6,600 - 6,800 VND/kg. Dai Thom 8 rice is priced at 6,800 - 7,000 VND/kg. Nhat rice is priced at 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg. Nang Nhen rice (dried) is priced at 13,000 VND/kg. Fresh AG sticky rice is priced at 6,200 VND/kg. Dried An Giang sticky rice fluctuates around 7,400 - 7,600 VND/kg. In the rice export market, the export price of rice has been adjusted up by 5 USD/ton. Accordingly, the price of 5% broken rice from Vietnam is being offered at 508 USD/ton, up 5 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is at 488 USD/ton, up 5 USD/ton; and Jasmine rice is 578 USD/ton.
Many businesses said that currently, supply is scarce and demand is increasing sharply, pushing export rice prices to their highest level in 2 years.
