On August 18, the Investigation Police Agency, Di An Town Police, Binh Duong Province arrested a gang that committed many daring robberies, including: Nguyen Minh Giang (born 1997), Trinh Van Hoc (born 1993), Nguyen Huu Phuong (born 1994) and Nguyen Van Tung (born 1990, all from Thanh Hoa).

The group continued to "hunt" on the streets, then discovered Ms. Nguyen Thien T holding a phone in her hand. Hoc drove Giang's motorbike and hit her motorbike, causing her to fall onto the road. Tung and Phuong rushed forward to snatch the phone, then the whole group sped away.

Immediately after that, the group continued to carry out another bag snatching, in an area only 200m away from the first two robberies, but failed and were chased by people shouting.

At that moment, the police of An Phu ward, Thuan An town, who were patrolling nearby, heard the shouts and gave chase. At the Dong Tan intersection, Tan Dong Hiep ward, the police force controlled and arrested all four suspects and the evidence, bringing them to the police headquarters to assist in the investigation.
