Pretending to be an investigation officer, robbed 45 kg of gold

A group of four people impersonating officers from the Central Bureau of Investigation in India robbed a huge amount of gold from a branch of a financial company.

About four people entered the Muthoot Finance branch in Hyderabad, Telangana this morning, saying they wanted to check documents and gold in the safe, IANS quoted the city police as saying.

When the employees said they did not have the authority to present the safe without permission from their superiors, the unidentified men threatened to take action against them for not following their instructions.Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) India.

The robbers began collecting gold jewelry, putting it in their bags when the safe was opened. One of them brandished a gun and threatened the employees and locked them in the bathroom when they protested. The robbers also took the hard drive from the security camera and escaped on a 4-wheeler. The amount of gold stolen is estimated at 45 kg.

Police have launched a major manhunt to catch the culprit.
