The Mekong Delta (MD), known for its developed agriculture, has recently witnessed the emergence of a new livestock model that has attracted the attention of many farmers. That is the model of raising hybrid wild boars in a biosafety direction and linking with businesses to ensure stable output.

This model has helped many households in the West increase their income and become well-off. Mr. Doan Phan Dinh, Director of Dong Thap Wild Boar Trading and Service Company Limited, is the one who initiated and implemented this model over the past many years. The model has also received high appreciation from the agricultural sector of provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta.

Hybrid wild boars have strong resistance and good endurance in the natural environment. They are less susceptible to disease, have low loss rate, delicious meat, low fat and have a characteristic flavor. Thanks to being raised in an environment close to nature, products from hybrid wild boars not only meet the demand for safe agricultural products but also increase economic value for farmers.

According to Mr. Doan Phan Dinh, the company has recognized the risks of traditional pig farming, especially the problem of disease, which makes farmers always worry about the risk of loss. Therefore, for more than 10 years, the company has implemented a model of raising hybrid wild boars in a native direction, combined with biosecurity to help farmers reduce input costs. This model includes building barns, providing breeds and feed, and minimizing disease, helping farmers earn higher profits than traditional white pig farming.

Currently, the company has cooperated with hundreds of households in the Mekong Delta provinces. The company provides quality pig breeds, supports farming techniques, disease prevention and ensures stable output for farmers. Thanks to that, people can confidently invest and develop sustainable farming.

The linkage model not only helps to minimize initial investment costs but also creates opportunities for farmers to apply modern and environmentally friendly farming methods.
