Rice price today November 1, 2024: Finished rice decreased by 50 VND/kg

Domestic rice prices

In the current rice market, trading activities in localities such as Soc Trang and Dong Thap are quite quiet. At rice warehouses and markets, rice prices have increased slightly, but supply is still low, prices are generally stable and there are not many types of high-quality rice.

Currently, the price of raw IR 504 Summer-Autumn rice ranges from 10,550 to 10,700 VND/kg. Meanwhile, the price of finished IR 504 rice has decreased slightly by 50 VND compared to yesterday, down to 12,500 to 12,650 VND/kg.

In retail markets, the prices of rice varieties have not changed significantly. Nang Nhen rice still maintains the highest price of 28,000 VND/kg. Prices of other popular rice varieties are also stable, such as regular rice ranging from 15,000 to 16,000 VND/kg; fragrant rice from 17,000 to 23,000 VND/kg; Jasmine rice around 17,000 to 18,000 VND/kg; and Nang Hoa rice reaching 21,500 VND/kg. Regular rice is stable around 15,000 to 16,000 VND/kg, while long-grain Thai fragrant rice is priced from 20,000 to 22,000 VND/kg. In addition, the price of Huong Lai rice is 23,000 VND/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice 21,000 VND/kg; regular Soc rice 18,500 VND/kg; Thai Soc rice 21,000 VND/kg; and Japanese rice about 22,000 VND/kg.

According to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province, today's rice price has changed slightly compared to yesterday. Specifically:

IR 50404 rice increased by 100 VND, currently at 6,800 - 7,000 VND/kg.

Dai Thom 8 rice costs from 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg.

OM 5451 and OM 18 rice are both at 7,200 - 7,500 VND/kg.

OM 380 rice fluctuates from 7,000 - 7,200 VND/kg.

Japanese rice costs from 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg.

Nang Nhen rice (dry) reaches 20,000 VND/kg.

The prices of by-products are currently fluctuating from 6,200 to 9,600 VND/kg. Specifically, OM 5451 broken rice is currently priced from 9,400 to 9,600 VND/kg, while dry bran has increased by 100 VND, to 6,300 - 6,400 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Regarding the sticky rice market, prices have not changed. Long An IR 4625 sticky rice (dry) remains stable at 9,600 to 9,800 VND/kg, and 3-month-old Long An sticky rice (dry) remains at 9,800 - 10,000 VND/kg.

Export rice price

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices have not changed compared to yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), 100% broken rice is at $427/ton, 5% standard rice is at $524/ton, and 25% broken rice is at $497/ton.
