Pepper price today April 1 in the world market

Globally, pepper production in 2025 is forecast to decline to 434,000 tonnes. Meanwhile, demand remains high. Tight supply, stable demand and farmers’ hoarding sentiment continue to be the main factors keeping pepper prices high.
Export businesses are currently stepping up purchases to ensure goods sources for international partners, contributing to supporting the domestic market.
In the international market, pepper prices – especially black pepper – are also on an upward trend thanks to strong demand from major markets such as the US and Europe. Major pepper producing countries including Vietnam, Indonesia and Brazil are all facing difficulties due to bad weather, reducing production. Meanwhile, major consuming countries are increasing imports to serve the food and spice industry.
The US dollar remains high, creating favorable conditions for pepper prices in the international market. In Vietnam, post-harvest supply remains scarce as farmers and traders continue to hold onto their goods, selling only a very limited amount. This further increases expectations that pepper prices will remain high in the coming time.
