Giá tiêu hôm nay 13/8: Neo vững mức giá cao

Domestic pepper prices have been increasing gradually in recent days, currently more than 3,000 VND/kg higher than the low at the end of July and up from 10,000 to 13,000 VND/kg compared to the bottom of previous months. However, the current price is still lower than the peak of 205,000 VND/kg and has not met the expectations of many export enterprises.

In the domestic market, transactions are quite quiet as many gardeners are still holding goods waiting for prices to increase, while the new harvest has not yet begun. This causes the amount of goods in circulation to decrease, contributing to keeping prices stable.

Businesses said that uncertainties related to tariffs, especially from the US market, have negatively affected purchasing demand. However, reduced supply in some production areas has helped pepper prices maintain a flat or slightly increasing trend recently.

According to a business, when the tax policy is clarified, trading activities will become more active again and prices may fluctuate. However, with global supply still lower than demand, the possibility of pepper prices remaining stable or continuing to increase in the near future is quite high.

Pepper price today August 13 in the world market

In the world market, based on quotes from export enterprises and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Community (IPC) has updated the prices of all types of pepper traded in the international market on August 12 (local time) as follows:

Indonesian Lampung black pepper prices decreased slightly compared to yesterday at USD 7,148/ton (down 0.28%). In addition, Muntok white pepper prices decreased slightly compared to yesterday at USD 9,992/ton (down 0.27%).

Similarly, Vietnam's white pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $8,950/ton.

Experts believe that a stable or slightly increasing trend in the short term is reasonable when the market is in a phase of supply-demand balance. This helps pepper prices not fluctuate strongly but still maintain positive momentum.

In the medium term, pepper prices are still likely to increase further if inventories in major producing countries continue to decrease, while global consumption demand remains stable or recovers in the fourth quarter of 2025. This is considered a key factor for the market to break out.

In addition, macro factors such as trade policy, weather conditions in key growing regions and demand fluctuations in major markets will continue to significantly influence price trends in the coming period.
