In addition, today's pepper price in Dong Nai (former Binh Phuoc) increased by 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently at 152,000 VND/kg.

Domestic pepper prices increased by 11,000 to 12,000 VND/kg by the end of August 2025. This is the second consecutive month of price increase, after prices increased from 2,000 to 3,000 VND/kg in July. Previously, in June, pepper prices had decreased by 8,000 VND/kg.
According to the Import-Export Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, this increase in pepper prices reflects a short-term supply shortage. A large part of the output has been contracted since the beginning of the year, so the current supply is quite limited.
Pepper prices are likely to remain high if supply remains in short supply. Another supporting factor comes from increased import demand from many countries to serve the year-end holiday season.
August 2025 also marked an important milestone when Vietnam's pepper exports officially surpassed the 1 billion USD threshold. Export turnover in the first half of August reached 71.8 million USD, bringing the total value from the beginning of the year to August 15 to 1.06 billion USD.
High pepper prices are a big boost for farmers and businesses. Pepper exports are forecast to continue to grow in the third and fourth quarters of 2025, thanks to favorable prices and relaxed trade policies. Demand from traditional markets such as China, the US, the EU and emerging markets such as Africa is expected to remain stable.
Despite facing many challenges such as supply fluctuations, the impact of climate change and technical barriers from abroad, Vietnam's pepper export prospects in the coming time are still viewed optimistically.
