Experts say pepper prices will continue to rise due to expectations that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) will cut interest rates at its upcoming meeting. This factor, combined with increased demand at the end of the year, will support the market's growth.

Vietnam holds a competitive advantage in terms of tax rates and supply capacity, helping to maintain its leading position in pepper exports. To develop more sustainably, the pepper industry needs to focus on promoting deep processing, improving product quality and building strong brands, instead of relying mainly on exporting raw materials.

Global pepper prices also recorded an upward trend in India and Indonesia. Analysts said the price increase was driven by stable demand in the European and US markets and a recovery in China's import activities.

Although Vietnamese pepper prices are still lower than those of some major producing countries, the gap is gradually narrowing, giving domestic pepper growers an additional advantage.
