The domestic pepper market is quiet with little trading due to limited supply and farmers holding back their stocks. Agents are selling pepper to raise capital for the upcoming coffee season, causing pepper prices to drop slightly due to lack of demand.
In addition, the pepper market was also affected by the week-long National Day holiday in China, along with the increase in the value of the USD due to tensions in the Middle East.
It is predicted that next week, pepper prices will not exceed VND150,000/kg due to high gold and USD prices, along with preparations for the new coffee harvest.
