World gold price today September 13, 2024 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 5:00 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was 2,544.11 USD/Ounce. Today's gold price increased by 38.55 USD/Ounce compared to yesterday's gold price. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (25,240 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 78.55 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 1.94 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

In mid-August, the world gold price increased dramatically, surpassing 2,507 USD/ounce, setting a new record. Compared to the peak in August, the current gold price has increased by nearly 40 USD.
Gold prices hit $2,550 an ounce before retreating slightly, currently at $2,544.11 an ounce, up nearly $38 from the previous session. The recent rise in gold prices was driven by the US producer price index (PPI) report, which increased 0.2% in August.
Core PPI, which excludes food and energy, rose 0.3% in August, more than expected. The PPI report showed that US inflation was not rising as quickly as feared, helping to ease inflation worries.
PPI is an important inflation indicator for the US Federal Reserve (Fed), and can influence their decision to cut interest rates.
The European Central Bank (ECB) also cut its interest rate to 3.5% per year, as expected. The ECB also cut its refinancing rate and marginal lending rate to 3.65% per year and 3.9% per year, respectively.
