Gold price dropped shockingly at the end of the week
SJC gold price dropped dramatically in both directions, slipping below 81 million VND/tael, while world gold price closed the week at an all-time high.
Survey at 5:00 a.m. on March 31, 2024,gold price on the exchangeof some companies as follows:

DOJI listed the price of 9999 gold at 78.80 million VND/tael for buying and 80.80 million VND/tael for selling.
At Mi Hong Jewelry Company, the price of Mi Hong gold at the time of survey was listed at 79.30 - 80.30 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited was also traded by the enterprise at 78.45 - 80.65 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 5:00 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was at 2,233.48 USD/ounce. Converted according to the current exchange rate at Vietcombank, the world gold price is about 66,012 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still 12,288 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.
Japanese Yen exchange rate increases

At Vietcombank,Vietcombank Japanese Yen exchange rate has buying rate of 158.93 VND/JPY and selling rate of 168.22 VND/JPY, up 0.24 VND in buying and up 0.26 VND in selling.
At Vietinbank, the Yen exchange rate increased by 0.26 VND in both buying and selling directions, equivalent to 159.87 VND/JPY and 169.57 VND/JPY.
At BIDV Bank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate increased by 0.1 VND in both buying and selling prices, reaching 159.64 VND/JPY and 168.15 VND/JPY, respectively.
At Agribank, the Japanese Yen buying and selling rates are 159.88 VND/JPY and 167.96 VND/JPY - up 0.07 VND for buying and up 0.1 VND for selling.
At Eximbank, the buying and selling prices increased by 0.21 VND, respectively at 161.37 VND/JPY and 166.07 VND/JPY.
At Techcombank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate increased by 0.21 VND in buying and selling prices at 157.27 VND/JPY and 169.69 VND/JPY, respectively.
In the black market, the Japanese Yen/VND exchange rate increased by 0.2 VND for buying and remained unchanged for selling, trading at 170.01 VND/JPY for buying and 171.01 VND/JPY for selling, respectively.
Coffee prices increased slightly today

Currently, the average purchase price in the Central Highlands provinces is 98,600 VND/kg, the highest purchase price in Dak Nong province is 98,700 VND/kg.

Specifically, the coffee purchase price in Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces is at 98,600 VND/kg; In Dak Nong province, coffee is purchased at the highest price of 98,700 VND/kg.
The price of green coffee beans (coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) in Lam Dong province in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, Lam Ha, coffee is purchased at 98,100 VND/kg.
In Dak Lak province, it is purchased at about 98,500 to 98,600 VND/kg.
