Time not to drink coffee
Coffee's effects last 5-6 hours, so you should stop drinking it after 12pm every day if you don't want to have insomnia.
Coffee is one of the most popular drinks in the world. In the UK alone, 100 million cups of coffee are consumed every day.
American doctor Poonam Desai informs that coffee has many benefits forhealth, such as preventing type 2 diabetes and promoting weight loss efforts. However, this type of drink can also come with some risks.
Accordingly, people should not drink coffee after 12 o'clock. Dr. Desai explains: "Caffeine has an effect of 5 to 6 hours. If you drink coffee late, the caffeine can still be present in the body near bedtime, making it impossible for us to fall asleep or sleep well. So I try to avoid any caffeinated drinks in the afternoon."

Lack of sleep has been linked to a number of chronic health problems including heart disease, kidney disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, stroke, obesity and depression.
According to the UK National Health Service, around one-third of adults in the UK experience difficulty sleeping at least once in their lives.
A study published in the journalScience Translational Medicinealso supports Dr. Desai's view. Drinking a cup of espresso two to three hours before bedtime can set your body clock back an hour, making it harder to fall asleep.
In addition to warnings about when to drink coffee, Dr. Desai also offers some changes that are good for your health. According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, drinking too much alcohol is associated with the risk of chronic diseases, high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, liver disease, digestive problems, and some types of cancer.
Dr. Desai also recommends limiting the use of plastic containers for food storage. “Plastic containers, especially when heated, can produce endocrine disruptors, so I don’t buy them anymore,” she said.
Endocrine disrupting chemicals can interfere with the body's hormones. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency states that these chemicals have been linked to a number of health problems, including reproductive effects, increased cancer risk, and immune and nervous system dysfunction.
According toExpress, Dr. Desai recommends avoiding flights that depart late at night and arrive early in the morning. “These flights can significantly disrupt your sleep, so I try to avoid them if possible,” she advises.
Dr Desai also urged people to eat five different plant foods a day, including fruit, vegetables, herbs and spices. The Five a Day campaign was launched in the UK in 2003 following advice from the World Health Organisation to eat at least 400g of fruit and vegetables a day.
