According to Nhan's statement at the police station, on July 2, Nhan went to chotot.com to look at items and saw someone selling a Suzuki sport for 35 million, so he made an appointment to buy the car.

On the afternoon of July 3, Nhan made an appointment with Mr. Pham Tuan Kiet (23 years old, living in Binh Tan), the owner of the above car, at a coffee shop on Street 17B, Ward 2, An Lac Ward, Binh Tan District.

Nhan also hired a motorbike taxi to take him to the meeting point to meet Mr. Kiet. While watching the car, he saw that Mr. Kiet had a phone, so Nhan immediately pulled out a stun gun and shot Mr. Kiet but missed.

Seeing the victim running away, Nhan tried to get on his motorbike to escape, but due to a stuck gear, the motorbike could not move. Nhan ran to nearby road number 12 and was chased and arrested by Mr. Kiet and the people.

At the police station, Nhan confessed that he did not have enough money to buy a car from selling milk tea, so he thought of the above method of stealing a car. He said he bought the weapons from a stranger in District 5 for "self-defense".
