Gasoline prices may drop sharply on June 22
World oil prices are falling sharply, so the adjustment on June 22 could see domestic prices drop by up to 600 VND per liter.
According to data from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the average price of RON 92 gasoline in the Singapore market in this cycle is about 82 USD per barrel, down 4.6% compared to the previous cycle. Meanwhile, RON 95 is also approaching an average of 84 USD per barrel, down 4.3% (previously 87.8 USD per barrel).

According to petroleum businesses, prices at the adjustment period on June 22 may decrease following the world.
“If the management agency maintains the price stabilization fund in this adjustment period, the price of RON 95 and E5 RON 92 gasoline may decrease by VND400-600 per liter. On the contrary, if the authorities reduce the use of the price stabilization fund, the price of gasoline may still decrease slightly by VND200-300. As for oil prices, this adjustment period will only decrease slightly,” said a gasoline business in Ho Chi Minh City.
In the adjustment period of June 7, the retail price of gasoline and oil remained the same as before, each liter of RON 95 gasoline was at 21,540 VND; E5 RON 92 gasoline was 19,940 VND; diesel oil was 17,690 VND, kerosene was 16,440 VND and mazut oil was 14,435 VND.
Compared to the maximum selling price in the previous operating period, the base price in this operating period increased by VND 1,270 per liter (for E5 RON92 gasoline); VND 698 per liter (for RON 95 gasoline); VND 156 for diesel.
