Gasoline price today September 16, 2024: Slight increase in the first trading session of the week

WTI crude oil price today is 68.851 USD/barrel, up slightly by 0.29%. Brent oil price also increased, reaching 71.711 USD/barrel, up 0.14%.

Compared to last month, WTI crude oil prices decreased by 8.83%, Brent crude oil decreased by 10%. Compared to last year, WTI and Brent crude oil prices decreased by 22.84% and 23.13%, respectively.

Oil prices were volatile last week due to Hurricane Francine and oil demand. Oil prices rose on concerns about reduced production from offshore US oil fields due to the storm, but then fell as production was restored. OPEC cut its forecast for oil demand this year to an increase of 2.03 million barrels per day.

Global oil demand is expected to increase by 1.74 million barrels per day in 2025. The EIA forecasts global oil demand will reach a record of about 103.1 million barrels per day this year. US gasoline and crude inventories increased by 833,000 barrels and 2.3 million barrels, respectively.

The Fed policy meeting and other economic data will influence oil prices this week.

Domestic gasoline prices today September 26, 2024

On the afternoon of September 12, gasoline prices were adjusted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance.

RON 95-III gasoline price decreased by VND1,190, to VND19,630 per liter.

E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased by 1,080 VND, the new price is 18,890 VND per liter.

Diesel and kerosene prices both decreased by VND930, with new prices of VND17,160 and VND17,790 per liter, respectively.

Mazut oil decreased by 690 VND, the new price is 14,460 VND per kg.

Maximum retail price for products:

- Retail price of E5 RON 92 gasoline is no more than 18,890 VND/liter

- Retail price of RON95-III gasoline is not more than 19,630 VND/liter.

- Retail diesel price is not more than 17,165 VND/liter.

- Retail price of kerosene is not more than 17,790 VND/liter.

- Fuel oil price is not more than 14,467 VND/kg.
