Gasoline price today September 28, 2024: Recorded the third consecutive day of decrease to the lowest level in the past 3 years.

World oil prices

WTI and Brent crude oil prices today, September 28, are respectively 67.448 USD/barrel and 71.215 USD/barrel, down slightly compared to yesterday.

Compared to the previous month, WTI crude oil prices decreased by 9.5%, while Brent decreased by 8.2%. Compared to 2023, the decrease was 24.72% and 21.9%, respectively.

WTI crude oil futures are currently at $67 a barrel, marking the third consecutive decline and the lowest level in three years.

Saudi Arabia may no longer pursue its $100/barrel oil price target and plans to increase production in December. OPEC+ plans to increase oil supply from December, after delaying it for two months.

Libya is set to reopen oil fields after resolving a political deadlock, which could put downward pressure on oil prices.

China remains concerned about oil demand despite economic stimulus measures. Oil prices could fall another 5% this week.

Domestic gasoline prices today

Domestic retail prices of gasoline on September 27 are as follows:

E5 RON 92 gasoline is not more than 19,620 VND/liter.

RON 95-III gasoline is not more than VND 20,518/liter.

Diesel oil not more than 17,506 VND/liter.

Kerosene not more than 17,873 VND/liter.

Fuel oil not exceeding 15,357 VND/kg.

Over the past month, after four consecutive price cuts, gasoline prices have increased in the last two periods due to rising world prices.

Although gasoline prices increased, the price stabilization fund was not used in this management period for products such as E5 RON 92 gasoline, RON 95 gasoline, diesel oil, kerosene and mazut oil.

Domestic gasoline prices are expected to closely follow the fluctuations of the world market. Prices are likely to drop sharply in the next adjustment period, with gasoline expected to drop by 600-700 VND/liter and oil by 300 VND/liter.

Since the beginning of the year, gasoline prices have increased and decreased 19 times. Oil prices alone have increased 17 times and decreased 21 times.
