Successfully rescued a 12th grade male student who was 'psychologically manipulated' by a scammer to force him to transfer money
While in class, PVD received a phone call from a person claiming to be a police officer saying that the male student was involved in a transnational money laundering ring and asked to transfer 250 million VND.
The police of Cam Thach ward, Cam Pha city, Quang Ninh province have just received a thank you letter from Mr. PHD, a citizen residing in the ward, for finding his son who was kidnapped by the subjects.Cheatpsychological manipulation, and at the same time prevent the transfer of 250 million VND to them.
Previously, at 10:30 p.m. on May 6, Cam Thach Ward Police received a report from Mr. PHD that his son, PVD, a 12th grade student, had left home at 2 p.m. the same day and his whereabouts were unknown.

Then, Mr. D's family received a text message from his son with a strange phone number informing that "D participated in a Chinese presentation writing contest and was admitted to a university in Wuhan (China)". In the text message from the strange phone number, Mr. D's family was asked to transfer 250 million VND to their son's MB Bank account to verify his financial capacity.
Upon receiving the report, Cam Thach Ward Police mobilized forces, coordinated with D's school, and police from surrounding wards to support the deployment of many search teams.
At 2:00 p.m. on May 7, Cam Thach Ward Police found D while he was in Dai Yen Ward, Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province. The police notified the family, prevented D's relatives from transferring money to the group of scammers, and returned the boy home safely.
At the police station, D recounted that while he was studying at school, he received a call from a strange phone number claiming to be an officer of the Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) saying that he was involved in a transnational money laundering ring and could be prosecuted.
After that, the subjects continuously threatened and manipulated the victim, demanding that D leave the house and stay alone without informing his family. Next, the subjects instructed D to text his family to transfer 250 million VND to the male student's bank account to verify his finances when he passed the university entrance exam.
The subjects also asked D to go to the Hai Phong City Police Headquarters to work. Out of fear, he even took an electric motorbike to travel to Hai Phong... then returned to Quang Ninh and was fortunately found by the police...
