Director of Nghe An Department of Health sends letter of encouragement to medical staff in the fight against Covid-19

On May 11, Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Director of Nghe An Department of Health sent a letter of commendation to doctors, officers and medical staff.

In the letter, the head of Nghe An Health Department wrote: "On May 6, 2021, Nghe An recorded a case ofpositive for Covid-19The first in the community in Quynh Lap commune, Hoang Mai town. Immediately afterwards, the Party committees, authorities, departments, branches, unions of Hoang Mai town and leaders of the Department of Health took drastic, rapid, and decisive action, mobilizing all resources and using all synchronous and effective measures to localize and suppress the epidemic, preventing it from spreading widely.

Mr. Chinh said that in the process of implementing the epidemic prevention and control, in addition to the efforts of the medical team of Hoang Mai town, the leaders of the Department of Health mobilized and received very active participation with the highest sense of responsibility from the leaders and medical staff of units such as: Nghe An Center for Disease Control (CDC); Provincial General Hospital; Quynh Luu District General Hospital; Medical Centers of Quynh Luu, Dien Chau, Nghia Dan districts; Quang Khoi General Hospital; Quang Thanh General Hospital.

"Comrades have been extremely urgent, determined, and tireless in their efforts, pioneering in going to the epicenter, not afraid of hardships and dangers, taking advantage of every hour and every minute to trace, isolate, collect samples, test, and monitor health, and wholeheartedly treat and save patients," Mr. Chinh wrote.

On behalf of the leaders of the Department of Health, Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh commended, acknowledged and highly appreciated the noble contributions and dedication of the "white-shirt soldiers" in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. At the same time, he sent his thanks to the families of the medical staff for sharing, sympathizing and accompanying these difficulties and challenges.

Forecasting that the Covid-19 situation is still very complicated and unpredictable, the Director of Nghe An Department of Health called on the entire health sector, doctors, and medical staff to continue to promote the noble qualities of a physician "A good doctor is like a mother", always ready to accept tasks, with the highest sense of responsibility and devote all their efforts, intelligence, and experience to join the whole people in defeating the epidemic.
