Director steals expensive bonsai to 'decorate' properties for sale
(Baonghean.vn) - Ho Xuan Loc and his accomplices went on a survey inside and outside Nghi Loc district. When they discovered houses with valuable ornamental plants outside the gate and in the yard, they would break in and steal them to display at real estate properties to increase the value of the property they would trade.
On July 12, the Investigation Police Agency of Nghi Loc District Police said: The unit, together with Nghi Thinh Commune Police, Nghi Dien Commune Police, and the Police of related communes, successfully broke up a case of stealing ornamental plants, arresting 3 subjects: Ho Xuan Loc (born in 1983) and Nguyen Van Lac (born in 1995), both residing in Nghi Kieu Commune; Nguyen Van Tuan (born in 1987), residing in Nghi Thach Commune (Nghi Loc) for the act of "Theft of property”.

Previously, from the beginning of June 2021 to present, through the work of grasping the situation in Nghi Loc district and neighboring areas such as Vinh city, Cua Lo town... Nghi Loc district police discovered the frequent theft of valuable ornamental plants from many households, causing panic and anger among the people. Faced with that situation, Nghi Loc district police established a special project on ornamental plant theft to fight and clarify.
After a period of persistently studying the operating patterns of the subjects and applying a combination of professional measures, the Task Force has established a group of subjects who committed the ornamental plant thefts. Among them, Ho Xuan Loc - owner of the Viet Anh real estate trading floor located in Nghi Loc district is the ringleader.
At around 7:00 p.m. on July 11, the Criminal Investigation Police Team on Criminal - Economic - Drug Crimes of Nghi Loc District Police, Nghi Thinh Commune Police, Nghi Dien Commune Police in coordination with the Police of communes in the district successfully broke the case, initially arresting Ho Xuan Loc, Nguyen Van Tuan and Nguyen Van Lac. The seized exhibits included 2 bougainvillea trees 2m high, trunk diameter 20cm, 10 ornamental plants of various types, 2 mobile phones, 3 cars, 1 iron cutter.

During the working process with the Investigation Police Agency, the subjects confessed that from the beginning of June 2021 until now, they have committed more than 5 cases of ornamental plant theft in Nghi Loc district, Cua Lo town, Vinh city worth over 100 million VND.
Typical: On the evening of July 8, the subjects broke into Mr. P's house in Hamlet 3, Nghi Thinh Commune and stole a 2m high bougainvillea tree with a trunk diameter of 20cm, worth over 15 million VND. On the evening of July 9, the subjects broke into Mr. Ph's house in Hamlet Kim Chi, Nghi An Commune (Vinh City) and stole 8 ornamental plants of various types, worth over 40 million VND in total.
The above ornamental plant theft was masterminded by Ho Xuan Loc. Loc brought the stolen ornamental plants to display at real estate properties to increase the value of the assets that he would trade and sell./.
