(Baonghean.vn)- A young man who committed suicide by eating poison ivy was promptly saved by the military medical staff of Keng Du Border Guard Station (Nghe An Border Guard) in coordination with local medical staff.
At around 7:30 p.m. on June 11, Mr. Luong Van C (born in 1997), residing in Khe Linh village, Keng Du commune, Ky Son district, due to family conflicts and an argument between his wife and him, committed suicide by eating poison leaves.

The victim was quickly taken to the Keng Du Commune Military Medical Station by the Covid-19 prevention and control team at Khe Linh in a state of severe poisoning, with his whole body turning purple, having difficulty breathing, and a weak pulse, endangering his life.
During the night, the medical force of Keng Du Border Post and doctors of Keng Du commune health station urgently took measures to treat the victim.
After nearly 3 hours of intensive emergency care, the patient was no longer in danger, no longer cyanotic, had less difficulty breathing, and could talk.
By the morning of June 12, the patient's health had recovered and he asked to return home.
