Young man sentenced to 18 months in prison for having sex with a girl herding buffalo

According to the indictment of the Procuracy: At about 4:00 p.m. on July 26, Thang and a girl named M. (born in 2001, with permanent residence in Do Luong district) went to herd buffalo in Dong Trot area, Thai Son commune, Do Luong district.

Here, Thang turned on the music and gave the phone to M. to listen to. While M. was listening to music, Thang groped some parts of M.'s body. A while later, M. saw her buffalo eating rice so she ran out to herd the buffalo.

After that, M. went to another place to stand. Thang continued to run to where M. was standing and continued to touch her, but M reacted by pushing him away, preventing Thang from touching her. Thang left and told M. not to tell anyone about this.

After returning home from herding buffalo, M told the whole story to his family members. Angry at Thang's behavior, M's family filed a complaint with the Do Luong District Police Department to report Thang's depraved behavior.

When he learned that M's family had filed a complaint against him, Thang went to the police investigation agency of Do Luong district to surrender.

At the trial, the victim gave a detailed account of the sexual intercourse with Thang. Thang then admitted all his crimes and confessed honestly. Considering that the defendant's criminal acts constituted the crime of Sexual Intercourse with a Child and he must bear criminal responsibility, the Trial Panel sentenced Nguyen Ham Thang to 18 months in prison./.
