Coming to Tan An Kindergarten on a day in mid-June, in the hot weather, teachers and students were still diligently studying, we were really impressed with the cool green space thanks to the system of perennial trees and colorful flower beds that enliven the campus with outdoor play equipment to meet the needs of children to play and explore.

At lunch, all the children were excited about the nutritious meal, carefully prepared and attractive by the nursery team. The classrooms and dining room were both cool.

Principal of Tan An Kindergarten - teacher Chu Thi Hoai Thu said: From the children's meals, the school has a specific, detailed menu for each week, to ensure nutrition for the children in each meal. Accordingly, the school's feeding team proactively buys fresh, quality foods every day, and must know how to prepare dishes suitable for children.

With the attention of parents' associations at all levels, the classrooms have been invested in purchasing cooling fans (steam). Therefore, the children's study hours, meals and nap times are not affected by the heat. "In more favorable conditions thanks to the attention of local authorities and the Department of Education, the school community is always united, overcoming all difficulties, all for the sake of our beloved students" - teacher Chu Thi Hoai Thu shared.

Tan Ky Town Kindergarten is considered the “leading bird” of Tan Ky preschool education. From the facilities to the teaching equipment here, all are of interest to the local government, the education department and the parents’ association.

Teacher Duong Thi Dung - Principal of the school said: In recent years, the unit has properly implemented professional regulations and preschool education programs; focused on training staff and encouraged teachers to participate in competitions with high quality. In the 2017 - 2018 school year, the school had 3 teachers achieving the title of excellent teachers at the provincial level.

The school also constantly innovates child care and education activities, taking children as the center, creating conditions for children to actively participate in group and class activities; actively communicate and interact according to the motto "learning while playing - playing while learning" suitable for each age and ability of children. The result is that 100% of children are obedient, polite, have necessary and age-appropriate life skills, 100% of children eat at school, in the past 3 school years the rate of malnutrition has decreased to below 2.7%.

The special thing about the school today is that parents of each class voluntarily contribute money to invest in purchasing equipment for teaching and learning, and even install air conditioners in the classrooms.

With in-depth activities, in the 2018-2019 school year, Tan Ky Kindergarten achieved the title of provincial excellence; in 2018, it achieved the title of cultural unit and was recognized as reaching National standards level 2.

“Children are like seedlings, so improving the quality of care, nurturing and education for children to develop comprehensively in terms of physical, intellectual and personality is always a focus of preschools. In particular, the love and enthusiasm of preschool teachers will help children develop steadily from the first classes” - Ms. Duong Thi Dung confided.

It is known that the preschool system of Tan Ky district in recent years has had changes in the quality of teaching and learning, which is the result after 5 years of implementing the topic "Building a child-centered preschool, period 2016-2020".

Quality innovation topic

Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Training of Tan Ky district - Mr. Pham Tan Phuong said that preschool education is the first school of every person, the first foundation of the industry; the quality of care and education of children in preschools has a great impact on the quality of education for the next levels. Recognizing that importance, preschool education of Tan Ky district has built and implemented the topic "Building a child-centered preschool, period 2016-2020".

After 5 years of implementing the project, the awareness of the management staff and teachers about the project content has been enhanced, clearly recognizing the importance and significance of building a child-centered educational environment. The facilities have been invested in construction and renovation to become more and more spacious. The educational environment in the classroom is designed to be scientifically arranged, suitable, creative, meeting the requirements of each topic, according to each age; open and attractive tools and toys stimulate children to be active.

The environment outside the classroom is planned and designed to be green, clean, and beautiful with enough play areas for practice and experience, and enough toys and equipment to meet the needs of children for outdoor activities. Teachers are improved in their skills in creating educational plans; they are flexible in applying methods to organize educational activities based on a child-centered perspective.

Children are interested in actively participating in practical activities, experiences, games, actively interacting with tools and toys; forming and developing positive thinking and perception abilities, proactively acquiring knowledge and skills according to the educational goals. Parents agree to support the school in terms of working days to clean up the classrooms, plant trees, vegetables, flowers, etc.

In 5 years, Tan Ky preschool education system has built 54 new classrooms, 37 functional rooms, 82 toilets for children, 8 toilets for teachers. 26/26 schools have invested in designing, constructing and renovating outdoor play areas for children and repairing and purchasing additional outdoor toys and interior equipment in groups and classes to meet the needs of children's play activities. The total investment cost is more than 86 billion VND.
