Nearly 500 kg of fireworks hidden in a container truck
(Baonghean.vn) - Toan bought nearly 500 kg of fireworks from the northern border, then hid them in sacks of vegetables and fruits on a container truck to bring back and sell.

On the morning of December 6, on the Vinh City bypass road through Block 2, Vinh Tan Ward, Vinh City, Vinh City Police caught Huynh Minh Toan (born in 1973, residing in Phong Dien District, Thua Thien - Hue Province) red-handed transporting firecrackers from the northern border to Vinh City and neighboring provinces for consumption.

Checking the container truck with license plate 92C-068.51 pulling trailer 51R-186.37 driven by Toan, the authorities discovered 145 36-round fireworks mortars and 56 100-round fireworks mortars in the vehicle with a total weight of nearly 500 kg.
The above fireworks were all foreign-made and were hidden by Toan among bags of goods, vegetables, fruits, onions, and garlic.

The authorities drew up a record to confiscate all of the above fireworks and temporarily detained Toan to handle the violation according to regulations.
