Killed his fiancee then committed suicide

Initial investigation results show that Duc murdered his girlfriend and then used a knife to commit suicide in the newly bought apartment to prepare for a home after marriage.

On the afternoon of February 15, District 7 Police coordinated with professional units of Ho Chi Minh City Police to initially conclude that the case of a man and a woman who died in an apartment on the 27th floor of the Sunrise City luxury apartment building on Nguyen Huu Tho Street, Tan Phong Ward, was due to the man killing the woman and then committing suicide.

Ambulance entered the apartment building carrying the bodies of a man and a woman.

According to the victim’s family, Lam Hong Duc (32 years old) and a girl from Ca Mau, Pham Thi Be Ngoan (31 years old), had been in love for 11 years. During this time, the two had argued, broken up, and reunited many times.

Three months ago, after nearly a year apart, the two rekindled their old love and planned to get married. Duc bought this luxury apartment for the two to live together and prepare to build a home.

However, Duc was often jealous, thinking that his fiancee had feelings for another man. The girl repeatedly complained to her family that she wanted to break up with her lover of many years because of Hoan Thu's personality. However, before she could carry out her intention, the girl was murdered by her lover.

Accordingly, three mornings ago, the girl's younger brother, after returning from a trip, called her sister to open the door but no one answered. Looking through the glass door, the girl saw her sister lying flat, so she ran down to the security guard to ask for help. People broke the door and went inside, discovering that the two people had died.

At the scene, the girl had bruises on her neck and multiple stab wounds to her stomach and chest. Duc had numerous wounds on his body and a bloody knife next to him.

From the initial investigation, the police determined that due to emotional conflicts, Duc murdered his girlfriend and then committed suicide.
