Accordingly, Nguyen Minh Tam (born in 1987, in Tan Lac, Hoa Binh) and Dam Ngoc Thuy (born in 1970, in Gia Binh, Bac Ninh) both work as construction workers in Hoan Kiem, Hanoi.

On December 19, 2015, both of them received an advance of 100,000 VND each and then went to the room of the landlord, Cao Huy (born in 1975, in Hoan Kiem, Hanoi) to buy drugs.

After that, Tam and Thuy mixed the drugs into two syringes for use. After mixing them, Tam went out for 5 minutes and when he came back, he saw that Thuy had injected one syringe and gave him the other syringe. Tam injected all the drugs and both of them returned to the room.

A moment later, seeing no signs of being “high”, Tam called Thuy “the godfather who gave me bad drugs” and the two argued loudly. Tam was beaten by Thuy, so he grabbed a sharp knife nearby and stabbed Thuy in the left chest.

The victim only had time to scream once before collapsing to the floor. People around immediately took Thuy to the emergency room, but the victim had already died. After committing the crime, Tam fled and was arrested a few days later.

On July 27, Hanoi People's Court sentenced Nguyen Minh Tam to death for murder.
