Killed drinking buddy… for trying to stop him from fighting

Seeing his drinking friend take a knife to find a motorcyclist who was revving his engine to fight, Chi tried to stop him but was stabbed to death by his friend.

On November 22, the Criminal Investigation Department of Soc Trang Province Police is still detaining Tien Thanh Luan (22 years old, residing in Kien Luong District, Kien Giang Province) for the crime of “Murder”. The murdered victim is Nguyen Van Chi (18 years old), from the same hometown as Luan.

According to the initial investigation, Luan and Chi were construction workers, working for hire at a house construction site in Ward 1, Vinh Chau town (Soc Trang). On the night of November 20, they invited each other to a drinking place on Nam Song Hau street to drink. When leaving, Luan saw a young man riding a motorbike revving his engine in front of him. Angry, Luan returned to the construction site, took a knife and went to find the other person to fight.

Subject Luan (black plaid shirt) was arrested by the police.

Seeing his drinking buddy acting recklessly, Chi tried to stop him but Luan stabbed him in the chest, causing him to die on the way to the emergency room.

After committing the crime, Luan slept at the scene until the police arrived and took him to the police station. At the police station, Luan admitted his crime.
