The image of Gudjohnsen and Ronaldinho sharing joy could be repeated in Chapecoense's shirt.

"With all due respect, I would be willing to wear the Chapecoense shirt if they accept. I'm not doing this to play alongside Ronaldinho again," the 38-year-old striker wrote on Twitter.

Gudjohnsen is the latest star to want to play for Chapecoense after the team lost almost all of its first-team players in the plane crash on November 28.

Previously, some sources said that Gudjohnsen's former teammate at Barca, Ronaldinho, also offered to play for Chapecoense. The two players played together from 2006 to 2008 at the Nou Camp.

Another famous Argentine football player, Roman Riquelme, is also ready to return for Chapecoense, despite announcing his retirement in 2015.

Ronaldinho is currently not playing for any team. Meanwhile, Gudjohnsen signed a contract with Indian club Pune but has not played due to injury.

Gudjohnsen rose to fame at Chelsea, spending six seasons at Stamford Bridge before moving to Barca in the summer of 2006.
