Ha Tinh: Passenger car rear-ends container truck, 2 dead, 14 injured
After the collision in Ha Tinh, the passenger car lost control, veered to the right side of the road, hit a sign, killing the driver and a passenger.

At around 11:30 p.m. on May 6, driver Tran Van Hanh (45 years old) was driving a sleeper bus with a Hanoi license plate carrying about 20 people on National Highway 1A in the South-North direction. When passing through Ky Dong commune (Ky Anh district, Ha Tinh), the bus crashed into the back of a container truck driven by Nguyen Cong Dinh (30 years old) in the same direction.
After the collision, the passenger car lost control, veered to the right side of the road, and hit a bus sign. Driver Hanh and a woman from Quang Binh died, 14 passengers (including 4 foreigners) were injured and taken to the hospital for emergency treatment; the rest panicked and opened the door to escape.

At the scene, the front of the passenger car was deformed, the glass was broken; the container truck was badly damaged. Around it were many pieces of debris from the two vehicles, oil stains and blood stains on the road.
Ky Anh district police were present to direct traffic and dispatch rescue vehicles to tow away the damaged vehicles.

This afternoon, the injured victims of the accident were treated at Ha Tinh General Hospital. Their health is gradually stabilizing and the police are taking their statements.
