Identifying this as a case of human trafficking, CongTuong Duong district police have decided to establish a special project with code name 120N to fight.
Through professional activities, the police identified the subjects in the human trafficking ring as: 2 brothers Xeo Van Dai, Xeo Van Lam and Ven Thi Thuy. However, at this time, the above subjects have all left the locality.
Determining that on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2020, the subjects would return to their localities to celebrate Tet, the Task Force focused its forces to arrest the subjects.
At the District Police Investigation Agency, the above subjects initially confessed to all their actions.
Accordingly, around March 2013, Xeo Van Dai (who was a student at a vocational college in Vinh City) met and became acquainted with Ven Thi Thuy. Knowing that Thuy used to live in China, Dai asked her to take someone there to sell them for marriage at the price of 60 million VND/person.
Thuy contacted a woman named The who is currently living in China and said she would pay 45 million VND/person. Dai then called his brother Xeo Van Lam to ask him to find someone who wanted to get married and bring them to China to sell, promising to pay Lam 10 million VND.

Lam went to T.'s house to propose that he would take T. to China to work as a flower grower with a high salary, so T. agreed. The next day, Lam drove T. to National Highway 7A in Cua Rao 2 village, Xa Luong commune to catch a bus to Vinh city to meet Dai. There, Dai took T. and Lam to Thuy's rented room. At the same time, Dai told Thuy to give Lam 5 million VND in advance.
Two days later, Thuy took a bus to take Ms. T. to Mong Cai border gate, Quang Ninh. There, The picked her up and took her across the border to China through a small border gate, then sold her to a Chinese man for 60,000 yuan (about 190 million VND). A month later, The transferred 45 million VND to Thuy. Thuy kept 15 million VND and gave 30 million VND to Dai.
It was not until June 2019 that Ms. T. was able to escape back to Vietnam and file a complaint against those who had harmed her.
