Two brothers hacked two people to death because they thought they were being stared at.
Believing that a group of young men were looking at them, Bui Ngoc Tu, 19 years old, and his brother attacked two people with knives, causing death on the morning of February 8.
Tu and his brother Bui Ngoc Thanh, 26 years old, were arrested by Nha Trang City Police shortly after. According to the investigation, Thuan (39 years old) was drinking at Vo Trung Hieu's (26 years old) car wash on Truong Sa Street (Phuoc Long Ward) with 3 friends. A while later, Tu drove past, thought the group was looking at him, and turned around to start a fight.
After the argument, Tu went home about 600 meters away to get a knife and called his brother to go back to find the rival group to take revenge. Tu rushed in and slashed Thuan and Hieu, who collapsed on the spot and were taken to the emergency room but died.

The Tu brothers fled the scene for a few hundred meters before being discovered by a patrol team from Phuoc Long Ward Police, who arrested Thanh. Tu threw the knife down Binh Tan Bridge and hid in an Internet cafe, but was arrested by the Criminal Police Department.
Tu said he had no conflict with the group of victims, but because they scolded him for being "little but rude" and also wanted to keep his motorbike, he took revenge.
