Two outpost islands of Nghe An complete election work
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 23, at the polling stations of Dao Mat and Dao Ngu, 184 voters who are officers and soldiers of Dao Mat Mixed Battalion, Battalion 2, Brigade 414; Company 33, Dao Ngu and the Lighthouse seriously exercised their rights and obligations as citizens.
Mat Island belongs to polling group No. 3 of Lam Thanh block, under the Election Committee of Nghi Hai ward, Cua Lo town, with 146 voters from 3 units: Mat Island Mixed Battalion; Battalion 2 of Brigade 414 and Lighthouse. Ngu Island belongs to polling group No. 4 of Doan Ket block, under the Election Committee of Nghi Thuy ward, Cua Lo town, with 37 voters.
Due to the distance from the mainland, the unit on combat readiness duty, the Nghi Hai and Nghi Thuy ward steering committees, directed the election teams to bring additional ballot boxes to the island and organize for officers and soldiers of the units to vote on the island.

Implementing the direction of the Provincial Military Command, the Election Committee of Cua Lo town, the Party Committee and commanders of the units have focused on promoting propaganda about the content and significance of this election. Through visual propaganda forms such as slogan banners and internal loudspeakers during breaks and holidays on the island, officers and soldiers in the unit understand and promote the spirit and responsibility of voters towards this particularly important political event.

Soldier Nguyen Van Hieu, 12.7mm Machine Gun Platoon, Mixed Artillery Company, Mixed Battalion of Mat Island said: As a young soldier working on the island, this is the first time I have held a ballot to vote. I am very emotional, nervous and confident that I will wisely choose people with both virtue and talent to be elected to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term.

As of 8:00 a.m. this morning, May 23, 100% of officers and soldiers of the Mat Island Mixed Battalion, Battalion 2, Brigade 414, Company 33 of Ngu Island and the Lighthouse voted on the two islands of Mat Island and Ngu Island, having completed their rights and obligations as citizens to vote and select worthy delegates to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term.
